I miss you when you're not around
Holding me close especially when I frown
spending time talking all night and all day
I'm lost without you
you always knew just what to say
The way you still tell me
"It'll be all right"
Then you gone for several nights
it really hurts because
there is no end in site
You're not within my grasp
and I don't understand
I try reach out to touch
and I don't feel your hand
The way you hugged me
the thought still makes me smile
you were the one who always knew how
But when I need a hug
you're no longer there
I took it all for granted
and thought you'd always be there
I miss it all so much
But what hurts most of all
is that I don't have you
to see, hear, or touch

wrote this once before never shared it. I pulled it back out and editted it. revisiting the idea and the pain of sorta wanting someone who at the time claimed they wanted me back but actually just strung me along for a while.

beautifully written. It is sad to loose someone, either by death or by them leaving, either way it is so hard to move forward, especially when you are so used to that person being by your side all the time. It is as if you have to find a new way to live. Very moving and emotional piece, one I can certainly related to
